The Rasmus este o trupa finlandeza de rock infiintata in 1994. Membrii trupei sunt Lauri Ylönen (solist, compozitor), Eero Heinonen (bas), Pauli Rantasalmi (chitara) si Aki Hakala (tobe). Initial erau intitulati doar "Rasmus" dar pentru a nu mai fi confundati cu un DJ suedez cu acelasi nume l-au schimbat in 2001. In 1995 au lansat primul lor single "1st" si 1996 albumul de debut Peep.
